The works created in 2018 were based on recurrent shapes in various forms of a triangle. Sometimes a triangular shape is combined to form another shape, such as a diamond. I used a repeated shape in order to play around with the idea of opposites and contradiction: limited and boundless, weight and lightness, and so forth. These are the concepts that I continue to explore in my current work.

For example, a diamond shape occupying the whole pictorial space may look like it is floating in the air, yet it is anchored by two small triangles on both sides to stop it from floating away. The shapes, such as the triangular and diamond shapes, used in this work were distilled from earlier work created between 2013-2017.
